I am deeply grateful to Christian Science for having taught me to lean upon and turn to God whatever the need may be. During the years that I have been interested in Christian Science I have had many proofs of God's willingness and ability to heal and uphold under all circumstances. My first healing of a serious displacement was seemingly slow. Still, I am none the less grateful for this, because I realize now that the healing of disposition and proneness to fear and worry took place during that period.
After I had been studying Christian Science for about five years the thought came that if I could experience an instantaneous healing it would be a great inspiration to me. Very shortly I was stricken with inflammation of the bladder. At first I was able to go about my work; but the fourth day I was unable to rise from my bed. A Christian Science practitioner was called and came to the house. On arriving she treated me first audibly, then silently. When she had finished the treatment, she said to me, "You can dress and eat your luncheon now." I obeyed, and found myself completely healed. The desire of my heart had come to pass, and I was more grateful than words can possibly express for this added proof.
My family have had many marvelous healings, and we are endeavoring by right living to prove our gratefulness to God, to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and to Mrs. Eddy, the interpreter to this age of the healing truth.— Highland Park, Michigan.
