I have received much help spiritually and physically through Christian Science. Many blessings have come to me through what knowledge I have gained by its study. It affords me pleasure to relate an experience for which I feel a profound sense of gratitude. When I badly wounded my hand with the sharp point of a pair of scissors, no blood came, but an angry infection soon formed, causing intense pain; and a dark shadow gathered about me. I began to lose control of my speech. This continued for about three hours, when all pain ceased. In the course of four days it was completely healed, and I could use the hand with perfect freedom. I am very thankful, as it gave me such a happy vision, proving the allness of God; and I truly found it a great joy to trust the loving Father, whom I have now learned to know as the God of love. This healing came to me through my own understanding of Christian Science and a sister's reading to me from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I should also like to mention the healing of a great sorrow when my dear mother passed away.
Words fail to express my gratitude for all the blessings Christian Science has brought me. I am thankful for Mrs. Eddy's writings, for the Christian Science literature, and for class instruction.—Lincoln, Illinois.
