"Where is your faith?" the Master said,
When waves were rough and tempest high.
He knew the seamen's troubled sense;
He heard the bitter human cry.
"Where is your faith?" the Master said.
The heart that doubts can never know
The heights beyond the farthest star,
The depths of Truth's eternal glow.
"Where is your faith?" the Master said.
That faith in God alone can still
The clamor of life's strain and stress,
And all the storm of human will.
