[Written for the Journal]

"LET THERE BE LIGHT"

From the March 1928 issue of The Christian Science Journal

O Brother, striving for earth's paltry greatness,
Of what poor moment will it all appear
When that now imaged on our dull perception,
Shall flash in God's great knowledge, perfect, clear!

O world, strive on with nobler aim and purpose!
Darkness is passing, for the light is here,
The truth of Being, Life that knows no ending,
And perfect Love that casts aside all fear.
