ABOUT fifteen years ago Christian Science was brought to my attention through my husband's mother having been healed of influenza. At that time I felt it was all right for those who could understand it, but I thought I did not need it for myself or my family. Later a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy was given to me and I read it at intervals.
Soon after this, differences of opinion, which led to very discordant conditions, came into the home, and human help from friends and relatives failed to right these conditions. Finally, when it seemed as if everything which I had held dear would be swept away, I turned to the chapter entitled "Prayer" in Science and Health, and this passage on page 1 stood out to me: "Desire is prayer." I knew that my desire was for good, and I asked God for strength and courage to carry on. The healing came instantaneously.
Soon afterwards a difficult financial situation arose. A practitioner was called, and in a very short time the law of harmony and abundance of good was being manifested in our home.
