SIX years ago, when Christian Science was presented to me, I was suffering from heart trouble—a leaking valve and enlarged heart. I was unable to walk up a flight of stairs without resting every few steps. Since my childhood this condition had deprived me of the activities other young people enjoyed. After having a few treatments and reading Science and Health for about a month, I noticed one day that I had walked up an incline and a flight of stairs without the least bother from my heart. Since then I have been able to be very active. I have also been healed of cramps, so severe that I had to remain in bed one day each month; and often if I tried to walk I would faint.
Other healings I have experienced have been of ulcers of the stomach— healed in one treatment—an abscess in my breast, colds, and discordant home conditions. I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, and that my activities in church work are helping me to overcome self-consciousness.
