I should like to express my gratitude...

From the November 1938 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I should like to express my gratitude for and appreciation of what Christian Science is doing for humanity. First of all, I am exceedingly thankful that in my girlhood home we were privileged to study the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy; and that through a long period of years there has always been the united helpful thought of the power of Truth.

After my marriage I lived in a small town where there was no church organization; however, a few students of Christian Science met together to study the periodicals and to hold Sunday services.

We have been helped through many phases of error, and given the strength to meet difficult situations. I am extremely thankful that at the passing on of my father we were lifted above the belief in death to the understanding of eternal Life.
