It is with the profoundest gratitude that I give this testimony of what Christian Science has done for me during the many years that I have been acquainted with it.
In the year 1913 Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy was first brought into my home, having been introduced to us by a relative who had been one of the early students in this country. Very quickly the fruits of the study of this book became apparent in the healing of members of the family, and in the correction of inharmonious conditions of various kinds. During my childhood and school days I was a frequent student of the textbook, although it was not until some years later that I realized Christian Science would have to be all-in-all to me.
During this early period I received physical healings for which I am especially grateful, because they proved the power of divine Love to heal even when one's actual understanding of Truth is slight. One of these healings was of a badly injured arm resulting from an accident. Another was of a severe attack of influenza and deafness while I was visiting another country in which there were at that time very few students of Christian Science.
