For over six years my husband and I have relied exclusively on Christian Science healing for ourselves and our two children, and I desire to express gratitude for the many blessings received through its teachings.
About two years ago there was an outbreak of children's diseases in the public school that our eightyear-old daughter attended. One day I received a telephone call from the school nurse to come and take my child home, as she had contracted mumps and, possibly, measles. The nurse also informed me that for quarantine purposes she had notified the board of health of the case.
I called a Christian Science practitioner, and he began treatment immediately. During the afternoon the symptoms of mumps disappeared, but by evening a pronounced case of measles was manifest, although the child suffered no discomfort. Treatment was continued, and in a few hours all evidence of measles vanished. Owing to the large number of local cases the board of health doctor did not arrive at our home until the following afternoon. He examined my daughter thoroughly, but could find no signs of any disease. He pronounced her in excellent health and, of course, did not quarantine the house. In numerous other cases in the school at that time, the diseases seemed to go through all the customary stages.
