I am more grateful than I can say for all the good that has come into my life and home through the earnest study and application of Christian Science. I have experienced many proofs of the presence and power of divine Love in the overcoming of various forms of sickness and error, such as the tobacco and liquor habits, the using of profane language, and a quick temper. For many years we have employed no material means in our home, but have relied upon Christian Science to meet our every need, and when rightly applied it has never failed us, no matter how hopeless the situation or circumstance seemed to material sense.
Our two children have had the advantage of regular attendance at Sunday school, and through their school years they have both had the protection which Christian Science affords. At one time our daughter manifested what a physician diagnosed as St. Vitus's dance. She could not do her schoolwork, and was unable even to hold a pencil in her hand. Upon our calling a practitioner, she was instantaneously healed.
Through Christian Science our home is becoming increasingly harmonious, and where formerly worry, fear, and discouragement would assail us in the overcoming of lack or sickness, we have learned to turn in confidence to our Father, knowing that "in him we live, and move, and have our being;" and knowing, too, that our Father, who "seeth in secret," will reward us openly.
