"THE LORD IS THERE"

(Ezekiel 48:35)

From the November 1940 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Think not to journey, desolate
And sad, beyond His care;
There is no place that you may know,
But lo, the Lord is there.

No task that comes with risen dawn,
Too dull or heavy is;
You do not face it all alone—
The mastery is His.

And His the wisdom of your lips,
Since you His image are;
Unholy words can find no voice,
Nor true reflection mar.

What though the mists of earth seem deep,
Life's path is safe and sure:
The Lord is there to guide your step—
His presence shall endure.

No good thing can be lost to you—
Supply is everywhere,
With hope and health and happiness,
Because the Lord is there.
