CHRISTIAN SCIENCE LITERATURE INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTION FUND

From the February 1940 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The Christian Science Board of Directors announces the establishment of the Christian Science Literature International Distribution Fund, to be used for distributing authorized Christian Science literature in countries where combatants or civilians are mobilized or congregated because of the war begun in 1939, and for supplying authorized Christian Science literature to the branch churches and societies in Germany, which, under present circumstances, are prevented from paying for it. Contributions to this Fund should be sent to Edward L. Ripley, Treasurer, 107 Falmouth Street, Boston, Massachusetts.

The Literature for Germany Fund will be discontinued as such and merged with the new Fund now announced. If and when The Christian Science Board of Directors finds that the new Fund is no longer required, any balance then remaining in this Fund will be transferred to the Relief Fund of The Mother Church, which is expended in accordance with the original announcement of that Fund in The Christian Science Monitor of October 11, 1923, and repeated in the Christian Science Sentinel of October 27, 1923, "for charitable and benevolent purposes in any emergency or necessity which may from time to time arise."
