My deep gratitude for blessings received through the study and application of Christian Science during the last twenty-two years cannot be measured. Every overcoming of error has left me with more confidence in God's power, proving Mrs. Eddy's statement in Science and Health (p. 66), "Each successive stage of experience unfolds new views of divine goodness and love;" and I have realized more clearly that "all things work together for good to them that love God."
I also wish to express gratitude for contact with Christian Scientists who have in their daily lives expressed Christly qualities that have encouraged and strengthened me in the working out of my problems. The healings in our family have been numerous. Ivy poisoning, which affected the arm to the elbow, was healed within a week through Christian Science. During this time I persistently declared my freedom as a child of God until I was free. I am also grateful to the practitioner and friend who helped me through a particularly trying period about five years ago, when a sense of grief and loss assailed me. Late one night, when error was screaming its loudest, I called her, and her statements of Truth quieted my great fear. This experience has meant much to me in meeting arguments of error since that time.
Above all I am grateful for inexhaustible Principle, for Life, Truth, and Love; and I thank God that our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, followed in the footsteps of our Way-shower, Christ Jesus, so closely that she was able to make the way plain for us.— Columbus, Ohio.
