With gratitude to Christian Science, I offer my testimony of healing. Some thirty years ago I was suffering from a painful growth under the nail of one of my big toes. The trouble became so severe that it was necessary for the physician to remove the nail, and keep it removed for many months. As time went on the condition steadily grew worse, and finally the doctor said there was nothing more he could do for me unless he resorted to amputation of the toe.
At this time a sister, who was an earnest student of Christian Science, was in my home. She urged me to try Christian Science, assuring me that I should be benefited. Finally, I went to a practitioner, to whom I related my condition. I was given this brief statement of truth: "God is all power." A treatment was given, with the result that all pain left immediately. I afterwards realized that I had really been healed instantaneously of this distressing trouble. That night I slept like a child, the first sound sleep I had known in many months; for previous to this I had been constantly wakened by pain. In a short time a perfectly normal nail developed on my toe, and in the many years that have followed I have never had the slightest return of this condition. Surely, "the word of God is quick, and powerful," and this has been proved to my family and me through many healing experiences.
Christian Science has been our only help since that time. Our two children were born under Christian Science treatment without medical attendance. They have had the privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School and have experienced many proofs of God's loving care, through the truths learned from our textbooks.
