I desire to add my testimony, that the good done me may "redound to the glory of God." My first healing in Christian Science was that of discouragement and despair, which were completely overcome and replaced with joyous confidence in God and Christian Science. To the loyal practitioner who faithfully helped and guided me at this time, I am sincerely grateful.
Previous to this experience, I had been antagonistic to Christian Science; then I began to believe in this wonderful Science, but was not fully able to realize the necessity of a thorough study of it. Yet all the time the leaven of Truth, imparted by friends who were students, was at work, converting me to the receptive state conducive to spiritual healing.
With loving gratitude to God, to Mrs. Eddy, our beloved Leader, and to Christ Jesus, I can gladly testify that I have been healed of hardened earwax, chronic colds, constipation, an irascible temper, smoking, drinking, extreme nervousness, an accentuated heart action, and the need for wearing glasses. The nicotine habit seemed so real at one time that I found it necessary to smoke several times in the night. When I began the study of Christian Science, I was some thirty pounds underweight; now my weight is normal. My gain was so rapid that some who had not seen me for a long time were unable to recognize me.
