SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHING

From the May 1940 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God," admonished the Master.

In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 583) Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, defines "Church," in part, as "that institution, which affords proof of its utility and is found elevating the race, rousing the dormant understanding from material beliefs to the apprehension of spiritual ideas and the demonstration of divine Science, thereby casting out devils, or error, and healing the sick."

The Sunday school is an integral part of the Christian Science church. To serve as a teacher in this Sunday school is a joyous privilege. It means seeking, together with the pupils, a practical understanding of the truth about God and man; and the rewards are "above rubies."
