Christian Science brings peace and satisfaction to those who understand and sincerely apply its truths. Unrest and dissatisfaction are stilled in the revealing illumination of God's tender care for all His children. Thoughts that come from God are winged with love and understanding, and are at peace.
How often we hear the expression, "Oh, if I could only run away from it all!" It may be that our business associations are not harmonious, that misjudgment and misunderstanding have crept into our church relationships, and we feel that in spite of the best we can do some misunderstanding persists. Perhaps the suggestion has come that we do not care to attend church services, that we do not care to mingle with others, or that we should be happier out of the church. The alert student sees this as an attempt of evil to hinder his usefulness in the Cause of Christian Science. At a time like this he claims and maintains his right to be happy in serving God and the Cause of Christian Science, and he retains his joyous attitude and confident friendliness with others.
False suggestions can only be accepted because we are believing that error has reality and power, or that it belongs to certain people. Evil claims to act through persons or conditions; but the claim is false, and can be destroyed as we see evil's unreality, its nothingness, through realizing the allness of God, good. There is no presence or power but God. When we see that evil has no reality or power, we can correct any belief in it in our own thinking. This gives us a joyous opportunity to prove the nothingness of evil and the reality and allness of God, good. We must look away from finite personality to Principle, that we may behold the spiritual idea, the man of God's creating. Spiritual love for our fellow beings will enable us to see the true selfhood of all in the image and likeness of God, Love.
