My gratitude to the Discoverer, Founder, and Leader of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, knows no bounds. Christian Science has brought such an abundance of good into my life that I am impelled to write this testimony. Health, happiness, supply, and freedom from fear are some of the blessings I enjoy; but most important of all is a better understanding of God, of man's relationship to Him, and of the divine purpose of all creation. To know that we live to glorify God, to love and to help each other, and to know that our creator has made us capable of doing this, surely brings us heaven right here on earth.
I was fortunate to have early enjoyed the blessing of Christian Science. Throughout childhood, girlhood, and then in the business world, the answer to every problem was found when Christian Science was rightly applied. One physical problem which was slow in yielding was that of goiter. At different times. I received treatment from Christian Science practitioners, for which I was most grateful; but I knew I had my own work to do. Discouragement, doubt, resentment, sensitiveness, a tendency to watch the body, were some of the errors to be overcome. When the healing came, removing all traces of the condition, my joy was boundless. Naturally I was grateful for freedom and improved appearance, but my greatest joy was due to the fact that Christian Science was the truth and had healed me. I knew that never again would I doubt its healing power. No matter what problem might arise, I could completely trust Christian Science to give the right answer. That healing took place about fifteen years ago, and the challenge of mortal mind has had to be met many times since. But these trials have always afforded opportunity to rise higher in the understanding of God.
Christian Science has been in our home for more than forty years, and all the members of my family have been greatly benefited by it. Healings of numerous kinds have taken place through the application of this great religion. Several years ago my father was suffering from such a serious illness that there was little hope for his recovery, and his suffering was intense. Christian Science treatment was lovingly given by a faithful practitioner, and after a period of seven or eight months he was restored to activity.
