TRUE CONCEPT OF HOME

From the December 1941 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Probably at no time in human history have so many hearts been crying out in despair for home. There are little children, young men and young women, mothers and fathers, of every nationality, echoing the cry for home. Many may recall the words of the old ballad,

"'Mid pleasures and palaces though we may
roam,
Be it ever so humble, there's no place like
Home."

The beloved Leader of the Christian Science movement, Mary Baker Eddy, says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 58,) "Home is the dearest spot on earth, and it should be the centre, though not the boundary, of the affections." And on page 1 she says: "Thoughts unspoken are not unknown to the divine Mind. Desire is prayer; and no loss can occur from trusting God with our desires, that they may be moulded and exalted before they take form in words and in deeds." With this true desire or prayer we can today seek and find the correct concept of home, which is provided for all by our Father-Mother God.
