I am another living witness to the truth that Christian Science heals.
When I was led to Christian Science for help I could not see. My case had been diagnosed as tuberculosis of the eyes, and I had been having the best medical care we could obtain. I had been in several hospitals, and it was while in a hospital in Chicago that I began to realize my case was hopeless. I was in utter despair when I returned to my home in Columbus.
Shortly after this I was led to Christian Science for help, and a practitioner was called. Immediately things began to change for the better. The medicine was thrown away, the doctors stopped coming, and my wife began reading the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly to me every day. The dark glasses and cane were discarded, and in a short time I was making regular visits to the practitioner's office. I soon began to attend church services, and in due time was reading the Lesson myself. For a long time now I have been able to do all the things that any normal healthy person is able to do. I had been receiving total disability monthly payments from four insurance companies, and was very grateful when I could write them about my healing and instruct them to discontinue these payments.
