Seventeen years ago, I was an invalid suffering from stomach and heart trouble. Physicians who were attending me had said I should never be well and was in danger of passing on at any time. I realized that I was beyond medical help; and having three small children, I knew I could not afford to leave them. I therefore asked a neighbor to tell me of Christian Science, which she gladly did.
She sent me two copies of the Christian Science Sentinel. After reading the testimonies I knew that I too could be healed. I had an instantaneous healing of the stomach trouble when I learned I did not have to fear what I ate, and I was also completely and permanently healed of the heart trouble.
The textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, was procured, and as I read and slowly gained some understanding, I learned to see the unreality of an abdominal tumor, and it vanished. A badly infected leg was healed when I acknowledged to the practitioner that I had been indulging in anger and resentment.
