It is in deep gratitude to God for Christian Science that I wish to add my testimony. This Science has been my only physician for over forty years. I first heard of it when my sister was healed of rheumatism through reading the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I did not realize for some time, however, that in order to apply this truth we must study Science and Health daily.
I became very sick, spending almost a year in bed. Doctors were called, and after several diagnoses they said that I was suffering from a tumor which was causing a heavy strain upon my back, and that an immediate operation was necessary. My husband, who was an earnest student, refused to consent to the operation, and we turned wholeheartedly to Christian Science. Through the help of a practitioner the tumor came away without the operation, and I was entirely free. This to me was a wonderful proof of the healing power of Christian Science.
I should like also to tell of a healing of bilious headaches which came through my repeating "the scientific statement of being" as found on page 468 of our textbook. These headaches had bothered me from childhood. While repeating the line, "All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all," I began to think that discord, commotion, and headaches had no place in infinite Mind, and that I was in that infinite Mind. I was instantly healed and have never had a return of headaches.
