I wish to express my appreciation for having been introduced to Christian Science early in my life. I was enrolled in the Sunday School at the age of three. The seed of Truth has borne many fruits in the way of practical demonstrations of God's love and protection. Higher education gave me many things to think about and brought some doubts and fears, but Christian Science was always in the background to straighten out the puzzling problems resulting from the conflict of material science and Christian Science.
As well as for the numerous healings and demonstrations I have had and witnessed, I wish to express my profound gratitude for the experience of the quick and effortless births of our two children. A practitioner gave me pertinent thoughts and ideas to weigh beforehand in each instance. When the time of delivery came, the practitioner and I both felt that the work had been done and all that remained was the unfolding. Both births were without pain and rapid. The children were perfect, and I suffered no harm either time.
My husband and I married in the war years, when the housing shortage was acute. Each time that it became necessary for us to move, there was a place for us to go to. Even in Washington, which was said to be one of the most overcrowded cities, we found reasonable rent and adequate room. After our first child arrived, my husband's work took us to Philadelphia. I clung to the idea that God guides every one of His children, and when it came time for us to leave, an apartment was made available where there was no stipulation against little children. When those quarters became cramped, we were able despite high prices to buy a house large enough to accommodate our needs at a price we could easily afford. God has directed our way, and the way has been clear and simple.—Runnemede, New Jersey.
