MATTER as cause or effect, as condition or the evidence of condition, is set aside by the first statement of Scripture, "God created the heaven and the earth" (Gen. 1:1). Spirit's creation must be spiritual throughout.
This great truth, obviously, is effective in human experience only as it is apprehended and claimed by mankind. As an everlasting, eternal, forever fact of spiritual being, it needs to be cherished in human thought and shown forth in the minutiae of human affairs. Then only will evil be vanquished and harmony supplant the aches and pains of the mortal sense of being.
The difficulties encountered by mankind, the manifold troubles, fears, and forebodings seemingly inherent in human existence, do not—it is well to remember—interfere with the integrity of God's spiritual and good creation. Health can be demonstrated when it is understood that ignorance, false education, or so-called material laws cannot change or hide the spiritual fact that as God's manifestation, man is perfect and whole. Regardless of human belief, God remains good and His man whole.
