It is with a heart overflowing with gratitude to God for Christian Science that the following experiences are related with the desire that they will bring hope and comfort to those in need.
My introduction to Christian Science came at a time when I was suffering from mental depression and insomnia, occasioned by the belief in the so-called laws of heredity. At this point I was invited to attend a lecture on Christian Science. I shall never cease to be grateful for what the lecturer said that evening. In the course of his address he quoted the profound statement from (Ezek. 18:2, 3): "What mean ye, that ye use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge? As I live, saith the Lord God, ye shall not have occasion any more to use this proverb in Israel."
I was greatly uplifted, and that night I slept like a child, something I had not done for many months. I had found hope and the solution for my problems through Christian Science.
