A Mountain Apart

From the July 1950 issue of The Christian Science Journal

It came to pass that Peter, James, and John
Went up into the mount with Jesus, and
He was transfigured suddenly and on
His raiment fell a glistering flame. Light spanned
The holy mountain: in that glorious hour
Both Moses and Elias came. They heard
Them talk with Jesus, knew the might of power,
The marvelous splendor of God's spoken word.

Aye, it is good to be here, Peter said,
And let us build three tabernacles near.
The mighty cloud went rolling overhead;
This is my Son, the voice of God spoke clear.
Oh, let us climb the mount of Truth and find
The pillar and the cloud, the Word of Mind.
