MEMBERS of The Mother Church from many parts of the world gathered together to hear the reports of the Church officers at the Annual Meeting which convened on Monday, June 5. Devotion and loyalty to the Cause of Christian Science were clearly evident in the great body of members which attended the meeting. The following is an account of the proceedings.
The opening hymn was No. 394 in the Christian Science Hymnal, "Word of Life, most pure, most strong." After the singing of this hymn, the retiring President, Miss Emma C. Shipman, read passages from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy:
