ANNUAL MEETING OF THE MOTHER CHURCH

From the July 1951 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The Annual Meeting of The Mother Church convened on Monday, June 4, with an unusually large attendance. Members from many parts of the world were present. It was inspiring to observe on every hand the enthusiasm and evident consecration to our beloved Cause. The following is an account of the proceedings, together with reports of the Church officers.

The opening hymn was No. 208 in the Christian Science Hymnal, "O gentle presence, peace and joy and power," the words of which were written by Mary Baker Eddy. After the singing of this hymn, the retiring President, Walter S. Cross, read passages from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our revered Leader:

The Bible
Isa. 52:7, 9,10
Matt. 5:1, 2
6: 19-21
7:21
John 12:26
15:8, 12
I John 3:18
