The voice of Truth speaks through the melody of Love to the heart hungry for harmony. For twenty-three years I have listened to its heavenly strain and for twenty-three years it has sustained, healed, and blessed me. My grateful heart asks to speak that it may tell others of the greatness of our God.
I know that Christian Science heals, for it has healed me of scarlet fever, eczema, warts, colds, influenza, and other physical difficulties too numerous to mention. So powerful is this Word of Truth that a knowledge of it destroyed the evidences of scarlet fever in exactly fifteen minutes; in the case of warts, the belief lasted only overnight; and influenza was healed in just a few hours. Never has Christian Science failed to bless and heal me when I have called upon it for help. I wish especially to express my gratitude to God for His guidance and sustaining love, which led me to a most happy marriage.
Among some of the difficulties overcome by our holding closely to God and His abounding love were parental objections to the marriage and resistance to Christian Science itself. The difficulties encountered in launching upon a new career at the height of the so-called depression and in finding a home were also overcome. The wonderful thing was that we were able to feel the sustaining and protecting love of God ever at hand, and at no time did the above difficulties seem great to us.
