I am very grateful for Christian Science. When this Science is faithfully and correctly applied, it solves all of our problems. My mother became interested in this religion when I was a very small child, and for over fifty years God has been my only physician. I have had many healings, although I do not know the names of a number of the diseases which were healed, since they were not diagnosed.
When I was a child I was healed in a very few days of double pneumonia, which was caused by gas fumes. There was no period of convalescence. Also when a child I was healed instantaneously of an ulcerated tonsil.
Many years ago I had a wonderful healing of asthma. I had had this trouble off and on for several years. One night, when I was having difficulty in breathing, I repeated the Lord's Prayer, with its spiritual interpretation, given on pages 16 and 17 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. As I prayed silently, my thought was not on myself or on the problem, but on the truth as I had learned to know it in Christian Science. I had a complete healing. That was about twenty years ago, and there has never been a return of the asthma.
