The world is in great need of finding something more stable, more abiding than material theories of life. Christian Science points out that the Bible fills that need, for it is a scientific textbook which contains the exact Science of life; it reveals the truth of being. Real Science springs from Truth itself, and Truth remains unchanging in a world of ever-changing theories.
Any science is concerned with law, and the Bible describes the workings of God's law, which is His merciful and omnipotent will. The Scriptures record in both the Old and the New Testament many proofs of the power and supremacy of divine law. People have called these proofs miracles, but Christian Science declares them to be the evidence of divine law, which has existed forever and which needs only to be understood in any age in order to be demonstrated.
The natural sciences are developing with great rapidity, and no doubt both Christianity and physical sciences seek freedom for mankind through law. And both seek knowledge of the application of law to human problems of limitation, which involve matter.
