SCIENTIFIC RELIGION

From the October 1958 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Through the study of Christian Science many are gaining a better understanding of God and of man's relationship to Him and are proving for themselves the efficaciousness of this Science and its ability to heal the ills that beset mankind.

In "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany," the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, writes (pp. 238, 239): "God is understandable, knowable, and applicable to every human need. In this is the proof that Christian Science is Science, for it demonstrates Life, not death; health, not disease; Truth, not error; Love, not hate."

That we are living in a scientific age, no one can deny. In recent years the amount of scientific effort and achievement has more than doubled, and scientists are coming to the conclusion that some theories of physics which were formerly believed to be useful are now no longer applicable.
