Christian Science was presented to me many years ago by a friend who invited me to a Wednesday evening testimony meeting in a Church of Christ, Scientist. I shall always be grateful that I accepted this invitation, because I knew immediately that I wanted to learn as much as I could about this religion.
Most of my spare time during the following year was spent in Christian Science Reading Rooms, where I read about the life of Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, and studied the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," which Mrs. Eddy wrote. I attended Christian Science lectures, church services, and Wednesday testimony meetings, and before long my life was completely transformed. Self-consciousness, shyness, and a very limited view of my capabilities were gradually changed as I learned that God is Love, infinite good, and that man is the reflection of God.
This was a different concept of God from the one that I had been taught, and the reflection of Godlike qualities became a joyous experience. Since that time, I have relied entirely upon Christian Science for physical healings, as well as for correcting inharmonies of every other sort.
