I can imagine no greater blessing than to have been reared in the home mentioned in my mother's testimony where Christian Science was loved and practiced and to have continued in this atmosphere in a marriage to a loyal student of this Science. From earliest childhood, the habit of turning to this truth for healing has brought many blessings. When eight years old I manifested a so-called children's disease. I went to my room and read the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly. That was the end of the difficulty.
At another time a finger was cut to the bone when I broke a pane of glass. Opening the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, for a healing message I read this sentence on page 381: "We cannot in reality suffer from breaking anything except a moral or spiritual law." The joy of receiving such a direct answer filled my consciousness. There was no pain, and in less than a week the finger was normal. My gratitude to Christ Jesus, to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, and for the privilege of class instruction continues to grow with the years.
