I should like to tell of my first healing in Christian Science, not only because it has spiritual significance to me, but because it was the means of bringing my husband and me into Christian Science, which has been the source of innumerable blessings to us through the years.
Some years ago, while searching for the healing of an abdominal disorder of long standing, I was led to Christian Science. I was afraid to consult a physician because I felt it was a surgical case. In my quest for healing, I talked with a druggist about various medicines which he named and recommended, but none of them appealed to me.
A few days later, while in a cobbler's shop, I noticed a Christian Science Sentinel lying on the counter. This interested me, because I had not even heard of Christian Science before. As my desire for freedom from the suffering I was enduring was great, I asked the cobbler to tell me something about this Science.
