With a heart full of joy I wish to acknowledge that for over half a century I have been blessed by God's sustaining power. I have reared my family in Christian Science, and now they in turn are teaching their children the same truth. The Bible tells us (Isa. 54:13), "All thy children shall be taught of the Lord."
Christian Science has taught me to love and understand the Bible, thus bringing me closer to God. The spiritual understanding gained through the study of the Scriptures and Mary Baker Eddy's writings has enabled me to realize God's omnipotence, which casts out error and heals the sick through Christ, Truth.
The healing efficacy of Christian Science was proved in our home daily. Through our earnest study, contagious diseases were prevented or quickly healed. Scarlet fever was healed within twenty-four hours. With the loving help of a Christian Science practitioner, a serious condition of nervous prostration was healed in ten days. A severe burn was quickly healed without leaving a scar. Since childhood I had been susceptible to influenza every winter, but through my study of Christian Science, the tendency to suffer from the difficulty passed into its native nothingness. Varicose veins were healed overnight.
