Mary Baker Eddy states in Science and Health (p. 494), "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need." Through our daily study of Christian Science, we learn how God guards, guides, governs, and protects.
At the time of a general housing shortage, I moved to a new locality to undertake employment. In making the move, I encountered difficulty in finding a suitable place to live. In doing my prayerful metaphysical work, I declared that God guides; that there is no lack or superfluity in God's plan. Therefore a place was actually already prepared for me.
A friend located a simple sleeping room for me just three days before I arrived in my new locality. As I expressed to my new landlady my appreciation for the room, I mentioned that I should like to find an apartment as quickly as possible. She stated that she had an apartment which was being vacated in two weeks, but that someone else had spoken for it. However, she assured me that if there should be any change in plans, she would be happy to let me have it. Knowing that under God's government whatever blesses one must of necessity bless all, I was not surprised when a few days later I was advised that the couple who had spoken for the apartment had decided against a move at that time, and so I could have the apartment. The very day that I moved in, my household belongings arrived by freight. This proved to me that God's plan is ever harmonious.
