Grateful for the many times I have...

From the December 1959 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Grateful for the many times I have been helped by the testimonies in our periodicals, I should like to share my experiences in applying Christian Science in the classroom.

Beginning each day with the realization that the real work to be done is God's work brings harmony and order. Each day's work is done joyfully, and I feel no fatigue or frustration at the end of the day.

Because I hold persistently to the presence of the kingdom of God, 99 per ever cent of the disciplinary problems ordinarily encountered in school never come up in my classroom. I also know that "there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie" (Rev. 21: 27). The more clearly I see that the young people with whom I work are in reality God's ideas, the greater are the dividends of accomplishment in my work.
