The wheel is generally considered to be the world's most important invention. An almost unbelievable amount of mechanical freedom has come through the employment of this simple device. But what is the world's greatest revelation, and what contribution does it promise to humanity? Christian Science teaches that Christ, Truth, is the answer to the first part of this question, and spiritual freedom is the answer to the latter part.
Christ, Truth, reveals the basic fact that Spirit, God, and His creation is All. Christian Science recognizes that God, Spirit, is the only creator and accepts the logical conclusion that His creation, including man, must be spiritual. This Science, however, does not claim to be the first medium through which such a revolutionary concept of existence has appeared. On the contrary, it humbly acknowledges that its teachings find their authority in the Bible, especially in the teachings of Christ Jesus.
As the revelation of man's true, spiritual identity dawns on human consciousness, it brings freedom from the material beliefs of sin and disease. The Master said (John 8:31, 32), "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
