Give me enthusiasm for Thy work;
Increase my zeal that I may use each hour
For Thee. Anoint my soul. Enrich my mind.
Unleash in me Love's mighty healing power.
O make me steadfast in Thy service, Lord.
Let me stand firm against the charm of sin.
I would uphold the precepts of the Christ
And, like a soldier, fight for them, and win.
I pray that I may be alert to hear
Thy voice; instant to lend Thy children aid,
To tenderly allay corroding fear
That they may serve serenely, unafraid.
