The Bible contains many accounts of mankind's deliverance from bondage to fear through the understanding that man really lives in Love, God. Moses' many experiences taught him the love of God. His innate love of God, good, equipped him to become the leader of the children of Israel and to bring them out of enslaving fear, typified by the land of Egypt.
When the Israelites, pursued by the Egyptians, came to the seemingly impassable Red Sea, Moses was firm in his realization that God would be their deliverer. He prophetically exhorted the people (Ex. 14:13), "Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever."
As in Moses' time, so today, mankind's paramount need is freedom from fear and from the conditions which fear seems to impose—sickness, lack, and enslavement to sin. The unfailing remedy for fear was given by the beloved disciple John (I John 4: 18), "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear."
