About seven years ago while I was engaged in sports, I fell on my head. Those in charge had me taken at once to a hospital in the nearest city. This took place in the evening, and my parents were notified immediately. The next morning my father came to see me in the hospital and asked the intern serving there what he thought about my case. The intern told him that there were two broken vertebrae in the spinal column near my neck.
After hearing these words, my father returned home completely disheartened. He decided to go to see some relatives who had been studying Christian Science for a long time. We had known of Christian Science without ever becoming really interested in it.
When he arrived at the home of these Scientists, my father asked them to do something for me. They informed a Christian Science practitioner of the situation right away, and she went to work immediately. The benefit of her prayerful work was not long in appearing. The next day when my mother came to see me, I was no longer in pain, and the same hospital intern who had been so pessimistic the previous evening stated that there had been a marked improvement during the night.
