I have had many healings in Christian Science, for which I am grateful. I am especially grateful for the healing of grief after the sudden passing on of my daughter. This healing did not come at once. I had to work it out step by step. I was always aware that Life and Love were just as present with her as with me, but the hard part was in handling the arguments of separation. When I better understood the spiritually mental nature of existence, the continuous unity of man with God, Mind, wherein there is no separation, and when I learned a new meaning of Jesus' words (John 16:22), "Your joy no man taketh from you," I received my healing.
As a result of this healing it unfolded very naturally for me to have class instruction, for which I had had a great desire for some time but which had not seemed attainable for me.
In Science and Health, Mrs. Eddy says (p. 569), "Every mortal at some period, here or hereafter, must grapple with and overcome the mortal belief in a power opposed to God." I had to prove this in an experience I had at one time while serving as First Reader in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist.
