From the June 1960 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Although since childhood I had been a member of a Protestant church and Sunday School, very active in the church work, and devoted to Bible reading and prayer, my spiritual needs had not been met. I listened to services broadcast by many different denominations only to turn away sobbing, "I can't find God."

Then an insurance agent called on us, and although we assured him we would not buy more insurance, he continued to call frequently. It was through him I learned of Christian Science. From the time I opened and read the Christian Science Sentinel he had placed in my hands, I knew I had found the truth I had so long been seeking. I not only earnestly studied the Lesson-Sermons from the Christian Science Quarterly but read the Christian Science periodicals; and with the occasional help of a practitioner, I found that a physical condition which had troubled me for a long time lessened and in several more months entirely disappeared.

I have been healed of severe headaches, car sickness, catarrh, the effects of a broken ankle suffered in childhood, and bad dispositional traits.
