Many times it has been my blessing to witness the wonders of God's love. In humility and gratitude I offer the following experiences as evidence of divine Love and with the hope that they may supply inspiration to those who may be in search of a higher sense of home.
When I first began the serious study of Christian Science I was faced with many domestic problems. My husband, our two babies, and I lived in a house that was in need of much repair. Our home life was unhappy, since I was always expecting my husband to do more work around the home than he did.
At this time a discerning Christian Science practitioner pointed out to me that I was in need of yielding to divine Love to a greater degree. My tendency had been to outline my husband's life and to be critical when he disappointed my selfish zeal. She led me to see that God is directing each of His ideas. Thereafter I replaced my critical thoughts with the assurance that man's true selfhood is the expression of all right activity. This truth was very calming. Tenderness replaced harshness; dominion over my thinking replaced domination; and joy replaced self-pity.
