On September 22, 1960, we issued a "Call to Action," which rallied the entire Field to an unprecedented opportunity to enlarge the usefulness of The Christian Science Monitor, the great newspaper established by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. As a result the total new subscriptions now exceed 75,000, increasing the Monitor circulation by 44 per cent. We are deeply grateful for the enthusiastic co-operation of all the workers throughout the Field who have so effectively participated in this project.

We gratefully acknowledge and deeply appreciate letters by Mary Baker Eddy and her secretaries, books, and other papers bearing her signature, which have been presented to the Archives of The Mother Church since our last announcement of similar gifts in the February, 1956, issue of The Christian Science Journal.
