Our family have been healed of many physical conditions, including hemorrhoids, tonsillitis, severe pain, influenza, fever, cuts, burns, sprained ankle, colitis, and constipation. God has been our only physician and Mind our only medicine for more than eight years.
My first healing in Christian Science was that of a nervous breakdown. It was impossible for me to eat anything solid, and my weight dropped from one hundred and fifty-five pounds to one hundred and ten pounds. Each day I was taking four double portions of the strongest sedative known to materia medica at that time and spending most of my time in bed.
Christian Science was presented to me by a kind friend who called a practitioner for me. Immediately I got up from bed, ate my first full meal, and, to the surprise of my friends, went to a party the following evening. I felt completely healed, but about five days later the condition recurred in all its darkness and severity. I then had to work my way out step by step.
