Every member of a Church of Christ, Scientist, has felt in some way the healing power of Christian Science. All earnest students have the ability to demonstrate this healing power. Let us, then, consider together the subject of our church membership and its healing opportunity.
The membership of every branch Church of Christ, Scientist, includes individuals not only who believe in Christian healing, but who know through experience that God's law applied to daily problems solves them and heals discordant conditions.
We are united in healing experience. We have received much, but have we gone forth with the purpose to give of our understanding as freely as we have received? The Gospel of Matthew records that Jesus sent twelve disciples out to heal, instructing them with these words (10:7, 8): "As ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give."
