When Christian Science was presented to me I was in a very confused state of mind resulting from the breaking up of my marriage and my home. Some friends who were regular attendants at the Sunday services and Wednesday testimony meetings of a Church of Christ, Scientist, told me about the blessings of their religion. I went with them to a testimony meeting. What I heard there had a calming and comforting effect on my thought. I decided to continue attending the services and to read Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, a book which these friends had offered me.
My attendance at the services became regular, and I persevered in the study of the Bible Lessons, outlined in the Christian Science Quarterly. I often went to a Christian Science Reading Room to read the lesson and always came away feeling better.
My friends continued to surround me with their love and good thoughts. Later on, I made the acquaintance of a certain dear woman who also attended the services. We were eventually united, and have now been married for over twenty years and are very happy to be serving the same church.
