When our son was born, the doctor said that he could not save either the baby or me. However, through the effective prayers of a Christian Science practitioner we both lived, and today, many years later, our son is a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church in which he is active on committees.
I shall always be grateful for an immediate healing of intense fear of being alone at night. This fear had tormented me for many years, but was removed in one treatment given by a practitioner.
Many years ago I was confronted with a hip difficulty which caused me considerable suffering. It continued over a period of some years, growing worse as time went on. One day the thought came to me that the work of the practitioner from whom I was then receiving treatment was done and that it was now up to me to do the rest. So in spite of the fact that at this point I was unable to get much rest or sleep at night or during the day, I dismissed the practitioner and continued to pray and study on my own. The condition grew worse, but I prayed earnestly for light and guidance.
